Manchester Airport is the UK’s third largest airport and currently handles 20 million passengers in 2003 of which 16 million were travelling internationally. Manchester Airport offers direct flights to over 180 destinations worldwide by over 95 airlines and 300 tour operators. It is located 10 miles south west of Manchester City, just a few minutes drive from the M6 and M56 motorways. It has 2 runways which should enable it to become the UK's second busiest airport by 2020.
